Press Release - Network Expanding
Those in the know, know KYMCO means business
Click to enlarge Kymco’s quality is renowned by those ‘in the know’. For example, the recent partnership where Kymco manufactures BMW’s high-tech, 449cc, G 450 X enduro engine is testament that you can buy Kymco products with confidence. It’s fair to believe BMW has staked its own reputation on it. Already the 4th largest scooter supplier in Australia, (Kymco is the name behind the ‘Bug’ brand) now there’s a lot more on the go with existing Bug/Kymco dealerships gearing up for a big year in ’09, and new dealers joining the Kymco network. No wonder they’re all excited about the future. Because not only will Bug/Kymco be supporting and expanding their well established range of scooters, they are widening their market penetration by introducing a range of quality ATVs and Motorcycles.
It makes obvious sense to be part of the advancing Bug/Kymco success story – while there’s still some PMAs available in selected locations across Australia. You’re guaranteed to be in good company. As you’d expect, established companies are quick to indentify the Kymco opportunity and enthusiastically embrace it.
Located in the heart of Melbourne’s Motorcycling retail district, Scoota City’s Managing Director, Yvette Jones immediately identified the potential. “We are very excited to be on board with Kymco for various reasons. The product has great professionalism and support along with huge potential for instant growth for us. The current line up is superb and we’re very excited about the future development of models. I am particularly impressed that Kymco works very closely with the factory, thus enabling increased dealer support and satisfaction”.
Yvette’s General Manager, David Owen added; “Since the first day of dealing with Kymco, we found them terrific and we feel privileged to be partners with such a reputable company. We honestly believe Kymco will be the next big brand in the market”.
Kymco began producing engines and components in 1963 and has experienced massive growth, evolving into a global supplier of over 400,000 Power Driven Products annually – and growing. The Kymco philosophy demands constant and intense R&D to satisfy the needs of their customers. No effort is spared to reach greater heights in developing and manufacturing innovative products. Kymco’s ‘forward thinking’ focus dedicates 700 employees to their ‘stand-alone’ R&D department, which opened in 1978.
The new team at Kymco Australia have much to achieve. The top priorities are maintaining the existing Bug dealer network, while extending the reach of a wider, stronger, network and rolling out a comprehensive advertising campaign and marketing program to support them.
Established New South Wales Bug/Kymco dealer, Close Motorcycles understands the importance of quality. Dealer Principle Andrew Close adds: “Kymco is our manufacturer of choice largely because of their reliability. Having been in the trade for fifteen years, I am at a stage where I only want to deal with companies that consistently deliver a quality product. As a dealer, I want my post-sale conversations with customers to be happy ones, as opposed to lists of faults or general disappointment with the scooter as often happened with other brands. I believe Kymco to be superior to most of the established brands in the marketplace, including European manufacturers, and expect them to win more and more customers over time”.
There’s never been a better time to get to know Kymco. When you see the innovative, expanded product range and the new distribution company in action, you’re looking at a big name in the future.
