It’s here - KYMCO’s largest and most powerful
quad to date - the MXU 500.
It features a 4-stroke, DOHC 499cc engine, shaft
drive and CVT automatic transmission with forward,
neutral, reverse, park, low and high gear. The
liquid-cooled engine pumps out a whopping 36
horsepower that will get you into and out of any job.
Larger 12 inch tyres give this new, bigger KYMCO a
substantial 250mm average ground clearance and
soak up the rough. It features disc brakes front and
rear and 4-wheeled engine braking - an important
safety feature, especially with farming applications.
You’ll always be in the right gear with its smoothshifting,
automatic constant variable transmission
(CVT). And riders can toggle between 2WD and
4WD operation. |

The MXU 500 has a true front differential which
increases turning ability, particularly in tight
situations.
Front and rear racks, and a towing hitch are
all standard equipment. The MXU 500 offers
outstanding towing and carrying capacities
- 45kg on the front rack, 85 kg on the rear rack,
and 454kg of towing capacity.
Electric starting, with pull back up, makes the
MXU 500 easy to operate, and the electronic
ignition requires virtually no maintenance. Dual
A-arm suspension up front, and single swing
arm rear suspension, provides a forgiving,
comfortable ride.
You safely hop on or off the MXU 500 while you
work - a front brake lock keeps it from moving
during mounting and dismounts. And a low seat
height of 848mm makes it much easier.
